Services offered by Platte County Clinics

Primary Care, funded by Northland Healthcare Access and the Kansas City Health Care Tax Levy, is a program that provides primary health care to citizens on Medicaid or MC+ or have no health insurance.

The Walk-in Clinic offers infant, toddler, pre-school, and school immunizations, adult, children and international travel vaccines, lead screening for children 6 months to 6 years, blood pressure, tuberculosis skin tests, head lice checks, confidential pregnancy tests, and confidential HIV-AIDS and STD testing.

Immunizations

The Platte County Health Department offers a comprehensive child and adult immunization program.


Children's Immunizations

To guard your child’s health these vaccines are available:

Routine childhood immunizations, Prevnar 13, Hepatitis A, Meningococcal and Flu shots.

Adult Immunizations

Adult and International Travel Vaccinations available:

Flu shots, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, HPV, Japanese Encephalitis*, MMR, Meningococcal, Pneumococcal,
Shingles -- Backordered, Tetanus & Diphtheria, Typhoid*, Varicella, and Yellow Fever.

*These travel vaccines are available at both the Parkville and Platte City offices. Please call ahead about travel vaccinations so that we can order the appropriate vaccines before you visit our clinics. Also, visit CDC's website to find out exactly which vaccinations are needed for your trip. All other vaccines are available at both sites on a walk-in basis.
